“The first time I experienced Yoga Nidra, I knew that my life was going to go through an amazing journey. Not only was I in awe at how relaxed I was but the chatter in my brain had literally stopped during the practice. The moment I opened my eyes I knew, without a doubt, this was something that I had to learn how to teach and to share with others.” Yoga Nidra takes you on an individual journey, to a place of stillness, silence and calm. There are no movements or asanas. You lie down and get as comfortable as you possibly can and for 50 minutes you listen, follow the guidance, be aware of the experience and you will be in a place of depth and calm that even regular nightly sleep cannot reveal. Yoga Nidra also benefits those who experience stress, anxiety, chronic pain and insomnia. It is very simple to experience periods of Bliss during the practice.
Kathleen Heitmann is a Professional Artist selling her art in Galleries, Corporate Settings and on Social Media. She also is a facilitator in Art Classes, Yoga Nidra, Life Skills Classes and Life Coaching to young adults with disabilities (Autism and Down Syndrome) for a non-profit organization in the North Shore.
