About the Event
Join us for this Movement Medicine® Women's Quest, exploring the Seen and Unseen World of Vision and Visibility, infused with the joy of dance, story-sharing, writing, adornment and photography, held in a safe and sacred cocoon of sisterhood. Facilitated by Carrie Branovan, internationally acclaimed photographic artist and Movement Medicine® Teacher, you'll experience a full day of dance, story-sharing, vision questing, creativity and sanctuary; as well as beautiful photographs of you alive in the dance of light, movement, and stillness!
You’ll be guided on a well-crafted journey ending with a lively photography session finale. Carrie will create beautiful moving portraits of each sister serving as sacred artifacts of your tranformational experience and can later be used for personal and professional applicaitons.
About Carrie: Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Carrie is a Movement Medicine® professionally trained teacher as well as an internationally acclaimed photographic artist with over 40 years of experience behind the lens in London, Tel Aviv, Paris, New York and most recently, Costa Rica. Known as a "Soul Seer" because of her ability to ‘see the unseen’, her images have graced the pages of prestigious publications such as British Vogue, Harpers, The Face, W, Brides, and many other international magazines. Carrie has worked alongside fashion designers John Galliano, Yukio Kobayashi (for Matsuda), Richmond/Cornejo, Vivienne Westwood and other visionaries, and she's been honored to create heirloom portraits of luminaries around the world.
As a global citizen, a loving mother, grandmother, a devoted partner and a passionate Movement Medicine® practitioner, Carrie brings her nurturing presence to the dance of life. She creates a safe and empowering space for her students, guiding them to shed old narratives and step into the power of honoring their truth. Through image, movement and story, Carrie encourages women of all ages to see themselves in a new light.
