"It's time for women to tell their versions of what it means to be fully human. It is time for men to respect those insights and it is time for all of us to integrate them into a new story of power.” ― Elizabeth Lesser, Cassandra Speaks: When Women Are the Storytellers, the Human Story Changes
"Why icons? Icons are soul images. Icons connect to the deep soul expression divine mystery of life. All people and cultures create icons to honor the sacred dimension. Images revere, remember, revision us to wholeness, the sacred energy of divine mystery. That mystery is feminine for me. The goddess symbolizes for me the highest possible development of each human being's potential on mother earth and in the cosmos.” ― Lydia Ruyle, artist statement
