About the Event
When you contemplate REST, does it make you anxious, feel like a failure, arouse in you obstinance, confusion, welcome bliss?
What if we could change the world through the power of rest, rather than riling one another up? What if through actualizing our individual liberation, we inspired freedom for all? If not now, when?
It has taken me into my 50s to be willing to slow down, to allow myself to receive, to confidently pause, to rest, to become aware of and make a home of non-negotiable spaciousness. My value is no longer dependent on how much I do, and especially do for others. The result? I'm happier, clearer, calmer, embodied, wiser, more creative, trusting, in flow, free. Spoons?
Our day at the enchanting Tryon Farm will include:
Conversation in which we will explore our ancestral, childhood and current messages around work and rest. Forest Bathing, part easy fitness, part mindfulness practice, this drench for your senses -- your innate intelligence -- will bring you into deep presence, deep noticing. Enjoy being nurtured by Nature as she “showers” you with oils that literally boost your immune system and scents that calm. Open and playful invitations will immerse you in the wisdom of wonder, wander and effortless effort. Free time to walk the Monk-blessed Tryon labyrinth, continue your play in nature, lunch and commune with other participants, rest, read, journal. EcoNidra, a practice sourced in YogaNidra that melds with Nature to inspire deep calm and connection will close our day. Return home, deeply rested and nested.
Participants will receive an EcoNidra recording for their personal use.
